I was born and raised in Rochester, NY and moved to Michigan in 1993 to continue my education. I subsequently met my husband and we have three beautiful children. I am a firm believer that better hearing begins with better listening not only by those who have hearing loss, but by family and friends who carry equal responsibility for being good communication partners. My favorite thing to listen to is the laughter of my children and the sound of Bass breaking water on the St. Lawrence River.
Gail Stoddart Au.D. Location: Brighton I received my Masters of Arts in Audiology and Speech Sciences from Michigan State University in 1979. I obtained my Doctor of Audiology Degree in 2008 from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, School of Audiology. I have worked at MOSA since 2005 in the Brighton and Ann Arbor locations. Previously, I worked for an Otolaryngologist at St. Mary Mercy Hospital in Livonia for 14 years.
I enjoy working with patients of all ages, especially educating patients and their family members about appropriate amplification and assistive listening devices to meet their communication needs. I believe that audiologists are the best resource for individuals or community groups who are interested in learning more about the ear and how it functions, types of hearing loss, noise exposure prevention, and selection of amplification.
I live in Brighton with my wonderful husband, Bruce, and our son, Eric. I enjoy gardening, camping and scrapbooking.
